Helen B. Brown
CASAMERO LAKE — Services for Helen B. Brown, 68, will be announced at a later date.
Brown died Sept. 4, 2011, in Gallup. She was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Piñon, Ariz., into the One Who Walks Around People Clan born for the Cliff Dweller People Clan.
Nicodemos ‘Nick’ Martinez
GALLUP — A public viewing for Nicodemos “Nick” Martinez will be at 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
ednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m.
Martinez died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. He was born May 3, 1927, in Atarque.
Martinez was a World War II veteran and retired from Federal service after working at Fort Wingate Army Depot and Cannon Air Force Base. He also worked at Rico Motors and Carbon Coal in Gallup before retiring again. Martinez spent many hours around baseball and hunting, passions he passed on to many family members. He was known to enjoy local casinos. Martinez was a cancer survivor and lived many years with a pacemaker. He was a husband, father, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend and a man of Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife Grace “Mora” Martinez; daughters Erlinda Montoya, of Gallup, Pasty Beaver, of Polson, Mont.; sons Joe R. Martinez, of Albuquerque, Freddie and Louie Martinez, of Gallup; nephew Andrew Dominguez, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Rafael and Doloritas Chavez Martinez, sisters Filomina, Silvia and Sadie and grandsons Jason Martinez and Frankie Ray Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Felix Montoya, Nicky Joe Martinez, Marcus Montoya, Jude Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Nolan Martinez, Hu Beaver and Andrew Dominguez.
The Martinez family extended thanks to all who offered prayers and support during his illness.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Family Center following services.
Donald H. Tso Sr.
MANY FARMS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Donald H. Tso Sr., 82, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the Chinle Potters House in Chinle, Ariz. Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will be at the Tso family plot. Visitation will be before services.
Tso was born in Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the Bitter Water People Clan born for the Mescalero Apache People Clan.
Survivors include his wife Sadie Becenti Tso; son Donald H. Tso Jr.; daughters Rebecca Begay, Linda S. Begay, Shirley A. Begay, Jaqueline Olson and Rachelle Wagner; sisters Virgina Begay, Sarah Bahe and Irene Teller; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Zealey Tso and Zoncho Tso.
Pallbearers will be Reginald S. Begay, Kurt S. Begay and Cory S. Begay with Veteran Support.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

RED ROCK — Services for Glenson Pete Sr., 47, will be announced at a later date.
Pete died Sept. 3, 2011, in Gallup. He was born April 15, 1964, in Gallup.
Merle C. Billie
FORT WINGATE — Services for Merle C. Billie, 42, will be announced at a later date.
Billie died Sept. 3, 2011, in Gallup. She was born Dec. 3, 1968, in Gallup into the Towering House People Clan born for the Red Running into the Water People Clan.
Laverne C. Tsosie
CROWNPOINT — Services for Laverne C. Tsosie, 59, will be announced at a later date.
Tsosie died Sept. 3, 2011, in California. She was born May 13, 1952, in Crownpoint into the Folding Arms People Clan born for the Towering House People Clan.
A family gathering will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the Crownpoint Chapter House.
Friends and relatives are encouraged to attend.
